About Plenty.Parts
What we are building
Plenty.Parts is a reference catalog of automotive parts. The problem it solves is an old and stubborn one: you have a car and a broken part, and you need to know which part numbers actually fit — including the ones from manufacturers you have never heard of, which are often the same component in a different box.
We are not a shop. We do not sell parts, and we have no stock to push. That is a deliberate choice: a catalog that also sells has a reason to show you the part it has, rather than the part you need.

Two of those numbers do most of the work. Cross references are what let you start from one part number and find every equivalent from another brand — usually the difference between an expensive original and an identical part at a third of the price. Fitment links are the connections between a part and the specific vehicles it belongs to, which is what makes "will this fit my car" a question with an answer.
How to use it
- Start from a part number if you have the old part in your hand — it is the most precise way in, and it finds equivalents from other brands.
- Start from your vehicle — make, year, model — and browse by category when you know what is broken but not what it is called.
- Start from a VIN when you want the catalog to work out the exact version of your car for you.
Where the data comes from
The catalog is assembled from commercial automotive data providers, manufacturers' published references and our own cross-reference processing. It is updated regularly. It is also, like every catalog of this size, imperfect: manufacturers supersede part numbers, specifications change mid-model-year, and the same number can mean different things in different markets. Always confirm a part before you buy it — see Terms of Use.
